I responded to an email solicitation from Nova Corp. to upgrade to the most recent edition of Parallels 5.0 at a discounted price of $49. (Retail $80) After downloading the program, I received a message that my old Parallels 1.0 was not compatible with the latest version. My request for tech support was ignored, so I submitted a refund application. I spoke to a representative who told me I needed a full "boxed" version which she eagerly sold me for $50. Two weeks later, I received, not a shrink-wrapped "off-the-shelf" product as I anticipated, but a CD and user's manual thrown into a mailing carton. I installed the software, but could not activate it because the program requested my old Parallels 1.0 product # which it deemed "invalid". Tech support of course, did not respond to my email, so I again requested a refund. Customer service told me to send the product back with the "UPC bar code" intact. I told them there was no UPC code. They said this was an "incompatibility issue- call tech support. Tech support has yet to reply.
