I was approached by these people, Fiana Fifita & Olive Fifita as well. I had a bad feeling from the get-go. They wanted money upfront for loan fees. Having talked to my dad who has bought 3 properties we thought I thought that was unusual. At first I didn't give them the 1% broker fee because I thought I had to pay that at closing. They keep insisting, they said they couldn't process our loan until we gave them the loan fee. About a week later I wrote them a check for $2, 735 and they walked into the bank an cashed it. I thought that was unusual as well. Anyway, 3 months went by and I can't get a hold of them. I had to go to another lender, a real loan officer helped me and didn't charge me anything. How can these people get away with stuff like this? Isn't there anyone out there to protect us consumers of fraud from people like Otoota Fifita & Olive Fifita? Just a friendly warning to anyone living in the Salt Lake, UT area.
