I bought a Panasonic DMCTZ3A from Amazon. I bought it around 2008. I have less than 300 shutter actions with and the built in lens cover closed and wouldn't open up. I sent my cameral to MCallen Exchange Center in Texas (where Panasonic told me to send it) and they want $180.00 to replace the camera. I feel like I've been completely ripped off by Panasonic's and their poor design engineering. This camera was not mis-treated in any way. I take care of my cameras and protect them. I'm still trying to resolve this issue, but I'm very disappointed in Panasonic for not helping me with a design problem they know exists with their cameras. Perhaps they are just as cheaply made as possible with a very effective marketing plan. I don't know? All I know is my camera is worthless.
