Puppygram Indianapolis, Indiana
I want to preface this review by saying I have been actively involved in dog rescue and fostering for most of the past 30 years. When I entered the store there was a man buying a puppy so I was not able to talk with the staff person. What I did see were young puppies in cramped glass front cages. Most pups were alone. Only a few had another pup in with them for company. There were NO toys of any kind for the pups to interact with. Just solitary confinement. They had coated wire flooring which is very bad for their feet and leg development and can cause injury. There were NO beds or even a blanket or towel for them to sleep on. The pups did not look well groomed but had fur that looked dirty on most of the pups especially ones with longer hair. All the pups had dull dull expressions with only a couple that walked about in their small cage. Two of the pups lunged and barked and spun in their cage in a stressed way. None of the puppies looked happy as a puppy should. None of the pups had water bowls but had pocket pet water dispensers. These are not adequate for puppies that need to lap water. It's hard work for a dog to get an adequate amount of water from these dispensers. These puppies appear to come from puppy mills. They are mostly mixed breed puppies that are being sold at outrageous prices. Do NOT purchase a puppy from this place or you will be faced with a puppy that will not be well socialized and will likely be sick requiring extensive veterinary care. Bethana's review I believe is an honest and accurate accounting and unfortunately is an experience that is far to common for people that purchase a puppy from places like Puppygram. She purchased her pup out of compassion and clearly she is a caring person. I totally agree with her statement "This place needs to be investigated and shut down!"
