Scam
My deceased, mentally challenged sister had a savings account with Capital Bank, bought by Union Planters Bank, bought by Regions Bank. Her account was active in the late 1970's when she was working at a sheltered workshop making $0.50/hr. The savings account represented one years earnings for her and was important to her.
After her death, the passbook was found and Regions Bank was notified of the account number, dates, amount, etc. No record existed of the account at Regions Bank and no statements were ever received in the mail. Regions Bank said inactive accounts were turned over to the state after a period of time depending on the state. I double checked with the state unclaimed property and they confirmed the account was never turned over to them as it should have been by law.
Regions Bank has not responded to my request asking where did the money go. Theft is the illegal taking of another person's property without that person's freely-given consent. What is Regions Bank hiding? Where did the money go?

Not Supporting Customers with Fraudulent Activity
I am one of 7 other people so far from my branch that has had their credit card and pin numbers cloned this past weekend. I think it's an inside Job at the bank - I submitted my claim and was told that the funds will not be available to me until 10 business days !!! This person managed to take $1, 000 + the NSF Fees that the bank is taking out from my account on a holiday weekend!
I was able to call the head branch office to get $200.00 temporalily so that I can survive this weekend... Not good enough - How sad it is that in a situation that fraudulent activity is evident they don't help the customer out and credit the account the amount taken plus fees so that they don't have to deal with this headache.

Service Fee's Overcharged
Account #0108482438 closed by the Bank October 2010 is now handled by the Credit Department of the Bank, who are trying to collect $1, 078.00 which I feel is unfair as the Bank told me not to do anything on this account, as they will eliminate the service fee's before closing the account. The Bank is now charging me for the service fees, and I am willing to settle this account for the $500.00 I feel I owe to the Bank. Please ask them to settle before they mark my credit as unsatisfactory and this will take me 7 years to clear from my report.
Thank You

Bank account
I had an account with Regions Bank in 2007. I went to the local branch on 27 Aug 2007 @ 9:20 am(just as the office opened) and deposited $534.00 cash. Before I gave the teller my cash I asked her if this cash will credit immediately because I had several pending transactions, and she said "yes". I have the customer receipt for this transaction. The next morning I checked my account to find out the monies that I deposited was never credited and all of the pending transactions, which added up close to what I deposited, were returned and I was hit with fees which ate up the cash. I went to the local branch again and I also called to speak with the branch manager and got no where. I went back and forth with the bank for 1 1/2 weeks. My family had to eat and I had other bills that needed to be paid, so I had no choice except to open another account with another bank and I also I had to make arrangements with the creditors for the transactions that were returned and all of this was put on my credit report, which is affecting me now because I'm in the middle of a legal separation and have to secure a place to live.

Overdraft fees
The bank will have in pending something that will be taken from your account. You see this and go to the bank asap to put in money or move it directly on line from another account in the same bank. Suddenly an hour later, after you moved money what was at the top will appear below before your new deposit. Therefore more fees.
The bank flips order to charge fees. They also charge for depositing cash. Can you believe that? Regions Bank is all about ripping you off. A bank charging for depositing cash is unbelievable in my opinion. Amazing.

HARRASSMENT AND INVASION OF MY PRIVATE INFORMATION
My sister was mad at me and decide she would pull my personal information up with out my permission and treaten me while i was at work. An while she was on ya'll clock. This was done on september 14, 2010 and went on for hours.
Then she even treated me saying she was going to turn me in for fraud because at one time i was injuried at work and was on workmens comp.
This caused problems at my work and now i'm not working she has set me over the edge. She texted me so many times i could not even done my work. And I have save them all.
It really studs me that no one at regions caught on to what she was doing texting for at least an hour or so while she was on your clock suppose to be doing work not harrassing me.
Besides she had no right pulling my personal information up I deal with bankers her in Louisiana not illinois.
I have saved every text and i have talked to bankers over here.
I am getting an attorney, because this is just wrong and uncalled for. I do have rights and they have been slandered. (Bambi Guidry) - who else has she done this to.
Yours Truly

"courtesy, but for whom?"
Last week, July 28, 2010, i made an online payment to FIA CS, branch of Regions Corp. i used my regions visa check card for small purchases here and there over the weekend. i called regions automated system to find out my balance on Monday neg $288.00!" Apparently i duplicated my payment to FIA Card Services. in spite of a minus balance none of my Visa Check Card transactions were declined. i have NO overdraft protection.
Regions explanation was that "as a courtesy to me" they extended to me $500.00 in "additional funds." what this really means is that they gave themselves permission to charge me up to $500 in overdraft fees! had i known there was a problem, i could have covered the overage immediately. since i had no knowledge of this "courtesy" and no knowledge of the negative balance, Regions had a free for all collecting $35 for each of the $5 - $20 purchases which i made.
PLEASE BEWARE OF REGIONS BANK'S IDEA OF COURTESY!
I have had the same checking account since 1985. My first and second mortgages are with Regions. my only satisfaction will be in selling my home (of 21 years) and paying them off. i refuse to allow them to foreclose and write me off as a loss. my payback will be by denying them any future interest on my accounts.

Robs the poor
I had an online merchant put an unauthorized check through my account and try to comitt fraud against me. Now regions in Louisiana specifically in Mandeville says since it isn't a bank error they are charging me and NSF fee and a stop payment fee on the check.
Guess what it isn't my fault either but, they won't budge! It's like in Chicago during the Crime period where a gangster comes in and says:"If you give me your "insurance money" so then maybe I will protect you against this problem."
So, 71 dollars later, the bank officer says I can place a debit hold on the account and no one will be able to access it for checks or debits. Duh, why did I put the stop payment!?
I am so angry!!!
