Stole some money saying that I was in overdraft
The problem is that I had overdraft protection.. I was in vacation in another country and apparently I went on overdraft.. I had a debit card and a savings/checking account with them, But somehow I went on overdraft (I don't know how) Since the debit card was linked to my checking account and I had money in my savings account, I went on overdraft and instead of cover the overdraft with money from my savings (As the overdraft protection says) they just went ahead and were charging me $33 dollars everyday and made me paid over $300 dollars for their mistake.. I have proof that they stole my money.. Should I go ahead and sue them?

Won't listen
Regions bank is *** me off by calling me every 2 or 3 hours at night they want to talk to a DEAD man and they think they can bully me in to giving them something that I don't have readily available. That is who won't listen to me. They refuse to believe me so I will have to go in person to show them my late husbands ashes. Anyone got any better ideas to help me with this problem. The bank people don't live on 1 income a month like I do.I pray they will..

Fraud/Misappropiation of Funds
• Regions Bank filed two lawsuits on 12/23/2008 naming Menaker Investments I as the defendant.
o 2008-CA-0033992-O for default of $3, 880, 000.00
o 2008-CA-0033999-O for default of $2, 510, 000.00
• Regions Bank filed the lawsuit on 1/27/2009 naming Giles-Menaker as the defendant.
o 2009-CA-002547-O for default of $1, 700, 000.00
• Mitch Menaker files for Bankruptcy on 7/29/2009
• Mitch Menaker forms MMDL LLC with Donald Lake (former construction loan contact for Giles-Menaker from Regions Bank) on 6/8/2009
• Mitch Menaker is granted bankruptcy 11/5/2009
• Mitch Menaker and Donald Lake start I Scream Humour Enterprises
o ( http://iscreamhumour.com/)
ALL THE ABOVE INFORMATION IS A MATTER OF PUBLIC RECORD
Here is what I am finding hard to accept:
• How does a man default on over $8, 000, 000 in construction loans from Regions Bank, File for and get approved for bankruptcy, and in the meantime form and develop a new business with the man who was the main contact with Regions Bank for both companies?
• How does Regions Bank allow for the overdraft of a "purchase card" to reach over $140, 000 before turning it off (as laid out in lawsuit)?

Doesn't care
Godaddy.com charged my debit card an automatic debit fee of 6.99 when my auto-renew feature was SUPPOSED to be OFF. their third-party merchant, the reprehensible CERTEGY, TWO WEEKS LATER charged me 30.00 for the returned 6.99. BOTH of these overdrew my account with REGIONS BANK which then caused an avalanche of overdraft fees (4) totalling $140.00!
Even though godaddy promptly reversed the 6.99, REGIONS has refused to return my overdraft fees that this caused, stating that i have to get these BIG BUSINESSES to pay them, since 'they' caused them. Regions knows, of course, that i have NO chance of convincing the Big Guys to admit fault and pay these fees.
The Managers at Regions have said that if i get something in writing from godaddy then 'they'll see what they can do'. they've profited 140.00 on my unfortunate and expensive situation.
After no less than 5 phone calls to godaddy's Cust. Service, who promised return phone calls from management WHICH NEVER HAPPENED, i've been on the phone with godaddy's "President's Office", and left them my Branch Manager's email address and FaX #. in the meantime, i'm getting collection notices for the 30.00 from CERTEGY THAT SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN APPLIED IN THE FIRST PLACE.
I'm now in danger of more overdrafts, and have YET to hear anything from Godaddy, OR Regions Bank. Do yourselves, people, a favor and CHOOSE LOCAL BANKS!!!
FOLLOW UP:
after hearing of this complaint (and more to follow at other like services, trust me), and even with it being QUITE obvious that godaddy.com erred and refunded my fees, Regions gave me 10 days to close my account.
CLOSED MY ACCOUNT, because i complained of the overdraft fees that occurred through the error of a third party.
the response from my Branch Mgr when i explained (emphatically) that this was NOT my error, that it was the merchant's error, was simply that "it's not the bank's fault". this is what they continued to say.

Greedy and Uncooperative and Horrible Business Practices
This company is purely one of the worse banks that I've EVER had to deal with in my life. First, upon opening my account with a cash deposit, after making it available for use and using my debit card, they decide that they want to place a hold on my checking account. Subsequently, causing all the transactions that I did, to overdraft my account. After arguing with customer service over a holiday weekend, and going up the ladder to above the branch manager, they corrected their mistake. This was the first instance.
Secondly, now they are deciding that they want to close my account for no apparent reason, and as soon as my direct deposit was posted today, they are telling me that there is a hold on my account, that they will not do anything about it, and that I will not have access to my funds until Monday of the following week, or they will mail me a check and close my account and that I CANNOT physically walk inside a bank right now to w/d funds, close my account, use my debit card or anything like they are HOARDING my money. Upon speaking to many reps, many managers, and the branch manager, they are still insisting that they are not going to do anything until Monday and tough shit about my money that was direct deposited until we feel like giving you your money on Monday. As a financial institution, they are in violation of Regulation CC, Funds Availability Act, as well as just being flat out like they don't give a damn about you. They will do whatever they feel like doing, take your money, not feel like they have to give it to you and make you wait for a direct deposit. What bank puts a hold on a direct deposit or doesn't allow you access to your own damn money on payday. I'm still arguing with them as we speak, but to ANYONE who has thought about going to them, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! IT'S A WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT BANK THAT SHOULD HAVE FOLDED DURING THE RECESSION AND THEY DO NOT DESERVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WITHSTAND ANY LONGER.

Stole $ From me
They completely lost $3, 000.00 dollars of mine. Then they put it back in my account a couple of days later after I noticed the deposit was not there. I had to go to the bank and prove it. i was treated very badly by the Assistant manager there named Brenda. She said it was a FL account and that she could not help me. Finallly a branch manager helped me named melissa but she was only filling in for the manager that was not present. So, now over a week and ahalf later I am still fighting for them to fix me NSF fees they made me incur and they keep saying they will handle it and still have not. I talked with the assistant Manager again today and she said it will be fix and I will call you right back to let you know it is. No call and it is still not fixed! I do not know what to do. I think I might get some higher power involved.

Beware people
I was unaware that my account was overdrawn due to the overdraft feature that was automatically included in my agreement. Additionally, I was unaware of how the service worked, which allowed me to continue using my debit card, unaware that I was overdrawn and racking up fees. Within a matter of 2 wks Regions assessed me $1085 in overdraft fees before I was aware that I was overdrawn.
I spoke with 4 individuals, including supervisors and bank managers, who not only refused to help but showed no sympathy or empathy whatsoever. We have been with the same bank for almost 30 yrs and this is has never happened before. This is the gratitude we get. They refuse to refund EVEN ONE OF THE FEES!
Use a local bank or BEWARE!

NSF charged
We went to Regions to close our checking acct. and were told it had already been closed because the last check that cleared had taken the last of the money in the account. I thought that was strange but asked what should we do about a Sears check that hadn't cleared. We were told to go to the store and pay it in person. Sears agreed that was a good idea, (BAD IDEA!) The check that had been sent to Sears by mail was then sent to Regions and bounced. Went back to the bank and asked how we could be charged a $35 fee when the acct. was closed, they said they would handle it- NOT ! The check bounced 3 more times and the bank says we owe $140 in nsf fees and that they told us not to close the acct., when THEY are the ones who closed it!! Its our word against theirs and they know it.

Rude customer service
Regions sends out online payments that are scheduled to go out on another date when it overdraws your account because they send it out on the wrong date they charge you overdraft. They try and convince you it is your fault when they sent it out on the wrong date as if they say it so its true. The phone customer service are rude you spend hours of being hung up on transferred and they will not even listen to your side or look at the proff. Try and close a account still working on trying to do that failed on our first try my husband is going to try next time.
