I have to agree with the other previous postings. My husband was laid off from his job of 12 years, at the same time I was out of work due to a short term disability. Although my husband gained employment, his income has significantly dropped. We fell a few months behind in our mortage and applied for a modification program. We are now about to submit our 4th application. Every time we submit an application, it seems to never get processed and the information is destroyed. I feel as though we're in limbo, they keep having me to apply for different types of modifications. The last one I did, they never notified me of the status. Finally, I called them and they told me my application was denied due to the fact that I did not meet the stimulas criteria. Now here I go on app. # 4. Mean while, my property taxes are due.

The craziest part of this story is that I sent them a payment and they sent it back, stating that while my application is in review, they are not allowed to accept payments?????

This is my first home and I've been in it for about 4 years and boy, what a horrible experience. I'm seriously considering going back to renting.
