My wife was a patient at the rheumatology dept of UW clinics until summer of this year. She has lupus and her Dr. was mis-managing her care for months. He neglected to perform routine tests that she needs, and when she expressed concern about symptoms she had, the Dr. simply said " don't worry, its only in your mind"...WHAT???? We then asked for her records so she could get a second opinion, and they refused to release them to us. We were going to get a lawyer to attempt a malpractice suit, but were told that UW doctors are protected from suits and that if we persue this, the most we could hope to win would be $250, 000, and thats if it goes the distance. To this day, we have spent almost that much trying to correct the kidney, lung, liver, and other damage done because of this mess...anyone moving to Madison, Wi...STAY AWAY FROM UW HOSPITAL AND CLINICS...THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT YOUR WALLET, NOT YOUR WELLBEING!!!
