Garhart built a two story addition on our house. We have had problems with the roof leaking, improper insulation, leaking gutters, electrical not up to code and other issues. This guy is the epitome of unprofessional. I would not recommend anyone hiring him to ANY type of work. If you do hire him, make him sign a VERY, VERY detailed contract outlining each and every detail of the job...even down to the type of fasteners he will use (for example). Also, read his form contract VERY carefully...it contains clauses that you don't want. Lastly, hold out any final payments as long as you can...this is the only way to get him to respond to anything. BUT OVERALL, SIMPLY DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY...EVEN FOR A SMALL ROOFING JOB OR REMOVING SNOW!!! Wish I could recommend someone better...but I can't. Best advice, try to just do it yourself.
