Roomster helped me!
Roomster was such a savior for me when I needed to find a room to rent fast. I was in limbo in between places and needed to secure a place ASAP and Roomster helped me make it happen. Their customer service reo was super helpful in helping me find the right subscription for what I needed as well, for which I am thankful.

Roomster is an amazing resource that everybody should utilize.
A friend suggested I try Roomster when I was looking for a place to live in NYC. I had tried going through a broker but what they were asking for a fee was outrageous. I went on Roomster and figured it couldn’t hurt to buy a trial subscription to test it out. I was so happy I did. Their site is so easy to use and before I knew it I was looking at all these great places to rent. A+

Overall good experience with Roomster, would recommend to others.
I had a friend who was recently wrongfully evicted from her apartment by her landlord. While she is suing him in small claims court she’s been crashing with me and we’ve been looking into getting her a room to rent. We found Roomster after doing some research online and read some good reviews. We found the site very manageable and reasonably priced to use, and they had a ton of rooms available in various budgets. We found her a room to rent in a really nice building after about three weeks on the site.

I appreciate their listings.
I used Roomster about two months ago to rent a room after I left my previous living situation. Their prices were relatively affordable; anyone serious about finding a place will have no problem with their subscription rates. The listings they have are pretty varied in terms of area, quality and price and I think anybody would be able to find something that suited them.

If you are looking for a good priced room to rent this is the site for you.
My little brother is going away to college in the next two weeks and we found him an amazing deal on a room share through Roomster. The college wanted a ridiculous amount of money for their housing program but we found a much more affordable alternative with Roomster.

Pretty easy to navigate!
My boyfriend and I were living together until recently we went through a pretty bad breakup. I started asking friends of mine if they knew of anybody looking for roommates and one of them suggested I try Roomster. At first I was skeptical to find a stranger as a roommate online but my friend said he used it before with solid results so I decided to give it a shot. At first glance the site is clean and has a pretty easily navigable interface and before long I was sending messages back and forth with a few people who had some really nice rooms listed. I settled on a nice clean room in a good area and the rent was super affordable.

I determined Roomster was my best choice
I used to have this horrible roommate who was unbearable to live with and I promised myself I would never go through that again willingly. On my next roommate search I did a lot of research about the best place to find good candidates and I determined Roomster was my best choice. After creating an account and starting to look through their listings it was clear that id be able to find a good fit with the abundance of people they have on the site. I messaged back and forth with a few people before I signed with a girl in her mid twenties that was a nursing student. We’ve been living together for near six months now and it has been without incident.

The process was super easy :)
I have an extra room in my place that’s been sitting as storage for the longest time but my rent recently went up so I’ve been looking to rent it out to generate some extra income. I listed the room on Roomster after a friend suggested the site and I’m glad he did. The process was super easy no gimmicks and I was able to find a young respectful student to rent the room. Would recommend to anyone looking to rent available rooms that they have. Haven’t used it to find a roommate so I can’t speak to that part of the site.

Would definitely recommend to people not looking to pay inflated real estate prices.
I just got a new job in Seattle and had to find a place to live within four weeks. I was looking at broker’s listings online but they all seemed incredibly expensive and I was not able to afford them. I came across Roomster’s site during one of my searches and they looked like they had a lot of affordable rooms. I purchased a subscription and started messaging some listings and within about two weeks I closed on a great room that was within my budget.

unauthorized withdrawal of funds
I thought I signed up for a 3-day subscription for $5.99 to help me find a roommate. I did not find a roommate using this site, and it did not seem like I was going to. So after the three days was over, I figured that I did not have to do anything else since my subscription was over. WRONG. I just discovered in my bank statements that Roomster.com has been charging me for an automatic renewal at a monthly cost of $29.95. Over the last 3 months, the total amount of money that Roomster has taken from my account without my knowledge is $89.85.
When I discovered the problem, I tried to contact the company, but they do not have any other way to reach them listed on their website except for an email to the Help & Support desk. I have only gotten snippy responses from them that are neither timely, nor answer my questions. Furthermore, what sort of company hides these charges then does not have a way to contact them? SKETCHY! So, I called the Better Business Bureau. As it turns out, Roomster.com had 124 current complaints against them regarding this issue. They now have 125.
Whatever you do, DO NOT give Roomster.com your billing information. Not only will you not receive any worthwhile services, but they will charge you a ridiculous amount without your knowledge and then do their best to prevent you from contacting them!!! If you have already made the mistake of using this website, please contact the Better Business Bureau immediately to help file a complaint!
