We purchase a mattress and box spring (Sealy Posturepedic) from Carls. It has a 10 year warrantee. When the mattress sagged badly, we called Carls. They sent an inspector who confirmed it was sagging more than 1 1/2 inches. I submitted all the requested documentation -- including law tags and original invoices. Now the company says that I can't prove the law tags were actually from the defective mattress. Their instructions REQUIRED me to cut off the law tags and paste them to a form that the company supplied, so that I could submit them as part of the required documentation. Now -- because the law tag was cut off (per their requirement) -- they say they can't be sure it is from the same mattress! My husband said, "We bought it from you. You delivered it to us. Where is this mysterious 'third mattress' supposed to come from?" This is the ultimate Catch 22! We plan to contact the company president and our state attorney general if they do not honor the warrantee. We saved all the documentation and fulfilled every requirement of the warrantee.
