I also purchased a Calypso washer back in November 2003 from Sears. I was never informed of any class action suit. I have had four service calls in the last five months, and their contracts says that they will replace the machine if they change four parts in a 12 month period. What they do is change one part and wait to see if it will last for a year that why they can say if they have to change another part that it was in another year. There should be something we can do about this problem can't another suit be filed against them. I had a technician at my home today who told me about the class action suit. He also told me that the machine was no good and that it needed about three different parts. They had to replace the motor back in July of 2009, now he says the U-Joint assembly is bad, the board is no good, and the lid needs to be replaced. This is a bunch of "Bull" I would say. I am going to talk to a lawyer and found out if there are any loop holes we can find to suit Kenmore and Sears.
