My son went to the hospital on a sunday for a tetanus shot because family doctors were closed.He had a slight scratch from rusty metal.They seated him in the triage room and talked to him about what he needed. No tests of any kind were done. He was totally well and not sick. They took him back and sat him on a bed behind a sheet for approx 3 hrs and then gave him two shots and let him go. Total for this was $2085.50. This is totally unbelievable to me. I had a tetanus shot last year at my family doctor for less than $50.00. I know emergency room visits are high, but no care was given other than the shots, no tests given, no nothing! I, d appreciate some input on this.
