Purched a samsung 67" led dlp tv back in feb. 2009. One of the reasons was the 3D ready option on this tv. I knew at some point movies and 3D would be available and I wanted a tv that would be ready for this technology. The presenter on the shopnbc show advised that this was a 3D ready, not 3D capable which means the emitter is built into the tv. He advised that when samsung had the download available we who purchased this tv would be able to go to samsung.com, download the technology from our computer to our tv. I kept going to samsung and they kept saying it wasn't yet available. Finally, after being frustrated when this would be available i contacted them by phone. Once I was finally able to speak with someone there I was advised that this tv was not 3D ready and that I needed an emitter. I asked them about the emitter, cost etc...and they advised that they no longer have the emitter but that I could go to google and try to find it out there in the market place. Needless to say it is not available anywhere. I went back to shopnbc because they sold me the tv and they are not willing to do anything either. I like to sue shopnbc for false advertisement and a misrepressentation of the product as well as make samsung make good on this tv. A lawsuit sounds about right to me!
