I was the victim of unauthorized charges to my cell phone account. The application on a popular networking site did not inform me that I would be charged for the text messages before I disclosed my cell phone number.

After I received the text messages, I learned that I would incur charges if I did not discontinue the subscription that I had started, not that I had already incurred the 9.99 charge. I cancelled the subscription immediately, thinking I was in the clear of the costs. I was disgusted to find out that this popular application had charged my cell phone provider every time that this application was run- had I thought that I was being charged, I would not have rerun the application. I lost almost 60 bucks to this stupid ripoff, it almost doubled my cell phone bill for the month!
