I was the victim of unauthorized charges to my cell phone account. The application on a popular networking site did not inform me that I would be charged for the text messages before I disclosed my cell phone number. After I received the text messages, I learned that I would incur charges if I did not discontinue the subscription that I had started, not that I had already incurred the 9.99 charge.
