When their office assured me they ran my benefits and all I was responsible for paying was $12 which I paid, I then received a bill for $60 because they were out of network. So, after 4 women telling me they did their jobs and assured me they checked my benefits. I was denied, as a consumer, my right to making an informed decision on who my eye doctor would be. I never see Dr.'s who aren't in my insurance network because I can't afford it. Which I stressed the importance of them checking this several times. Put my trust in their smiles, assurances, and the lady saying she checked and all I would owe is the $12.

When contacting them about their error, I was told "It is what it is! You, as the patient, are responsible for your benefits and your bill!" This is bad business all around.
