A couple of years ago I paid in excess of $20, 000 for a Chrysoberyl gem stone ring. Since then I discovered that the stone is essentially worthless. Matter of fact, I just brought it to a buyer of precious metals and stones and the owner only offered to buy the platinum setting and stated that the stone was worthless. Of Course, The Diamond Shop will not stand by their appraisal by refusing to buy back the ring at any price.
