A couple of years ago I paid in excess of $20, 000 for a Chrysoberyl gem stone ring. Since then I discovered that the stone is essentially worthless. Matter of fact, I just brought it to a buyer of precious metals and stones and the owner only offered to buy the platinum setting and stated that the stone was worthless.
