I had purchased a remote car starter for a 2003 Toyota Camry, in addition to the installation. It was a Christmas gift for my girlfriend.

The total for the starter and installation was just under $200.

When she went to get it installed a month and a half later the shop called her and said we would have to pay another $50 because it was made in Canada and had a transponder.

I politely said I didn't want to pay the $50, that $200 seemed expensive to begin with, and that I either wanted it done for the $200 I had already paid, or I wanted my money back.

They refused to do it for the original quote or give me a refund. They would only give store credit.

BE CAREFUL OF WHAT YOU BUY HERE. THEY DON'T GIVE REFUNDS!!!
