A family I am representing have been charged for the past four months at the rate of $19.95 each month. However, in the month of July, there were two items charged for two different purposes which were unauthorized similar to the previous months. None of these billings are approved by the party who do not speak English. However, the party paid for the first two months of $19.95 each but were unsure of what this amount was pertaining to their purchase. When the company was contacted on 8/5/09 for clarification of the billling and the purpose for the unauthorized service, I was informed that if the family was offered a free trial service if failed to contact within 30 days they will be charged for these items that the family has no clue of those services to begin with. It is appalling to know how companies like this is allowed to rip off people and yet do not face any criminal charges. What solution does this family have?
