Delivery
I am having work done to the front of my home. On the first day of delivery the guy stuck the package notice to the inside hallway at the back of the house and ususally they leave the package on the front hall steps. There is no difference front to back. He had access to stick a note why couldnt he leave the package in the hall. On three occasions I called within 30 minutes. They never send the guy back. After the third attempt, i was told they would hold the package and redeliver a 4th date and I should call early @ 9am to find out the time of day they would deliver. Well my package is back in Ohio now. The worse part of this ordeal is that there is a UPS location in the airport with better hours than the location in edison. I requested my package go there and I can pick it up. I guess that was quite difficult for this huge delivery company to handle. Not to mention that the airport is a 7 minute ride and edison is 30 minutes to get to.

Awful service
I have been an Avon Representative for many years and in all that time I noticed that what matters most is consistency and reliability within the service you provide.

UPS has utterly surprised me with their service lately. The few that do not value who they represent or the service they are dependent to provide are spoiling it for the entire company. Believe you me I am not the only business person who is not satisfied with UPS.

Their attempt to reach the consumer and deliver the packages on time are flimsy. They leave the ticket in front of a private building as appose to actually buzzy you to see if they can deliver your products on time so you can deliver your products faithfully on time as you promised your clients. Or they just go up and ticket the door without knocking so they won't have to bring your seven boxed upstairs on a gloomy rainy day.

Have you any idea how embarrasssing, frustrating and unprofessional it is to depend on a company with such poor service. Again, in all fairness-the few are ruining it for a Company that HAD a good reputation.

BAD DELIVERY DRIVER
SO I DECIDED TO SET AT MY HOUSE ON MY DAY OFF OF SCHOOL TO WAIT ON MY UPS MAN. I CHECK THEIR WEBSITE AND THE ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIME IS BETWEEN 8AM AND 7PM(WTF!!) SO I AM SITTING BESIDE MY DOOR WAITING ON HIM, HE COMES UP TO MY GARAGE DOOR, DIDNT EVEN KNOCK(IF HE WOULD HAD MY DOGS WOULD HAVE STARTED BARKING). THERE WAS 3 CARS IN THE DRIVEWAY, AND MY STEPDAD WAS MOWING THE YARD. HE DIDNT EVEN BOTHER TO TALK TO HIM. HE JUST PUT A NOTE ON THE DOOR SAYING HE TRIED. I RAN OUT THE DOOR BUT HE WOULDNT EVEN TURN AROUND AND TALK TO ME, HE JUST GOT IN HIS TRUCK AND LEFT. I IMMEDIATELY WENT INSIDE AND CALLED IN ON HIM. I WAS TOLD I SHOULD HAVE ANSWERED THE DOOR, OR TRIED TO GET HIS ATTENTION BETTER(WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO CARRY AN AIR HORN?). I HUNG UP ON THE FIRST GUY, I CALLED AGAIN AND ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR. THE SUPERVISOR TOLD ME I COULD COME GET IT. I THEN ASKED HER WHY THE DRIVER WOULD HAVE DONE THAT. SHE SAID SHE DIDNT KNOW. I SAY, IT WAS 4:50, HE WAS READY TO GET HOME. AFTER TALKING TO HER, SHE SAID SOMEONE FROM THE HUB WOULD CALL ME AND TELL ME WHEN I COULD COME GET IT. THEN ANOTHER WOMAN CALLED TO TELL ME WHEN I COULD COME GET MY PACKAGE, I THEN MADE A COMPLAINT WITH HER(SINCE SHE WORKS AT HIS HUB) AND TOLD HER THAT I GET A LOT OF DELIVERIES(THOUGH NONE HAVE REQUIRED A SIG) AND HE ALWAYS LEAVES THE PACKAGE'S AT MY GARAGE DOOR. ITS CLEAR THAT SOMEONE IS THERE IF THE DOGS ARE OUT, A CAR IS IN THE DRIVEWAY AND THE BACK DOOR IS OPEN. UPS CAN SUCK A NUT

"Guaranteed" really isn't
Any business that ships UPS - watch out because they have a sneaky new policy regarding guaranteed delivery times. We had a customer who needed 2 day shipping with Saturday delivery. We used UPS Internet Shipping to produce the label and got a confirmation that the package was "guaranteed" for delivery Saturday by 4:30pm. You can guess it didn't make it, instead arriving on Tuesday. By then it was too late and the customer refused the package.

So we called UPS to get a refund. They refused saying that their "guaranteed" service wasn't guaranteed because the box had extra handling (which we paid for) on it. Note, it was not overweight or over UPS size limit, just an oddly shaped box. NOWHERE on their shipping site does it say the guarantee is void for extra handling boxes! The real kicker on top of refusing to refund or even downgrade the 2 day and extra Saturday charge is they charged us $40 MORE to ship the box back!

I went around in circles through customer service, billing, managers, etc. All were polite enough, but refused to budge. They claimed this is a "new policy" implemented this past spring. This is a dishonest and greedy way of doing business - avoid UPS!

Consumer fraud
After reading several complaints here about UPS i think its very SAD that they can commit CONSUMER FRAUD and nobody does anything about it..I think everybody that has been scammed by UPS and CRAWFORD INSURANCE should file a Class Action Lawsuit and then maybe this FRAUD would stop because they are making a Fortune by Stealing from Consumers over and over again..If everybody gives up and walks away they will continue to Steal, Lie, and committ Consumer Fraud with no punishment done..My complaint has gone thru the BBB and they said they have thousands of complaints about UPS and are finally going to look further into it and them..Also have Filed with the ILLINOIS attorney general's office and they are Investigating the matter also but the only way it will stop is for everybody Involved to Complain enough to get a resolution..

Harass customers
Yesterday a driver went down our road at least 15 mph faster than the speed limit. When I called to complain, they were nice and assured me someone would call "within the hour". No one did so far.

Today, apparently after hearing about my complaint, the driver just sped down our road "for good measure". When I called again, the customer service rep couldn't understand why I hadn't been contacted and told me someone would contact me "within the hour". It is now more than two hours and, surprise, no call and I still haven't heard back from yesterday--unless the driver was giving me the message!

It appears UPS does not care about safety and the law and has no problem allowing/encouraging its drivers to harrass customers. We get about 3-4 deliveries per week so you'd think they would want to keep us happy. Our regular driver is great but when someone else is delivering--usually no more than once a week--it's easy to see the driver is not our regular guy.

I guess my only recourse is to NOT use UPS whenever possible AND to keep my pets off the road. Unfortunately, one day they will hurt someone or someone's pet (we have about 15 horses on our road and sometimes they DO get out). If it continues, I can always contact an attorney or local law enforcement but that's a really hassle. As I see it, UPS just does what it wants.

Never again
NEVER use UPS. They made an attempt to deliver my new phone. My old one broke and I rather need my new one. So I called the insurance co and even after confirming my address, they still put it in wrong. So I notice on the tracking page, it says "A CORRECT STREET NUMBER IS NEEDED FOR DELIVERY. UPS IS ATTEMPTING TO OBTAIN THIS INFORMATION / A POSTCARD HAS BEEN SENT TO THE RECIPIENT REQUESTING THAT THEY CONTACT UPS." If they have the incorrect address, how do they plan to send me a postcard? So I call UPS and the guy says for security purposes, he can't change the address, only Assurant (ins co) can. After I got put on hold off and on for ten minutes, she confirmed the wrong address and put me on hold again to FINALLY get it right. Now the UPS guy had told me if I got the address corrected, they would send it back out. So I got it corrected and called UPS back. Now I am being told that it is company policy that they only try once. So Assurant had to redeliver it. It was only 9 a.m. by the way. So it was not towards the end of the day or anything.

So I am waiting for my phone to be redelivered today. Yesterday, I was going to be home all day. Today, I've got things to do. I called UPS to see if there was anyway to know about when to expect the package. They just said before 7p.m. So I find out it's not even on the truck yet. I ask if they can just keep it at the station and I will pick it up while I am in town. Nope. That's against policy, too. They have to make at least 1 attempt to deliver it. But only 1 attempt.

I feel like they are so caught up in their policies to make their jobs easier, they don't give a care about customer service. Lesson learned: always ask if I have another shipping option.

Awful company
Well after reading complaints about UPS and the damage they cause and not honor insurance claims
i finally see where the consumer has had enough..First of all i am a Powerseller on Ebay and sell and ship about 75 to 85 Items a week, I used to use UPS until they destroyed a $2000.00 dollar Helmet and refused to honor the insurance Claim..Well i did the usual complaining and letter sending to everybody and their Mothers but what i forgot about was posting the complaint on Ebay itself just to see who else is having problems with UPS and OMG there are thousands out there so what i did was tell people about the Service i received from FEDEX and how awsome they are and their pricing is about 20% cheaper then UPS and to date already i have accomplished taking 7 Powersellers away from UPS and they now ship thru FEDEX so the way i look at it is if UPS doesn't want to pay the insurance claim on my Helmet of $2000.00 dollars thats fine because i have taken away better then $3000.00 dollars a week in shipping from them and now FEDEX gets it and i will keep going till UPS feels it and changes Business practice..It looks like another big business thats going to go down the tubes and the dishonest people that work for UPS are going to be in the unemployment lines...THANK GOD..

not tracking returns
I RETURNED TWO DEFECTIVE ESP3 PRINTERS TO KODAK VIA UPS. NOW KODAK IS SAYING THEY DID'NT RECEIVE ONE OF THEM. UPS CANNOT SUPPLY ME TRACKING NUMBERS FOR KODAK. THEY ARE SAYING I SHOULD HAVE WRITTEN THEM DOWN. A SICKENING UPS SUPV. WHO CAN'T DEAL WITH AGGRESSIVE PEOPLE SAID SHE CANT TRACK IT IF I DONT HAVE THE NUMBERS. THEY CANT TELL ME HOW MANY TIMES THEY CAME TO MY HOUSE, FOR WHAT SHIPPING TO WERE.
