UPS is the worst
I worked for UPS for three years, two and half as a supervisor (Upstate New York). They break every labor law imaginable. I had to file a sexual harassment suit when my boss called me on a vacation week. 3 times in 24 hours, two of which were at 1am and 3am and he called me a "f-in cu*t". They have such uneducated package handlers working for them that they don't think anyone knows the law, and that they can treat people like dirt. And it's sad that they get away with it.
They've got so much money to brainwash people with advertising that surprise, it works! Advertising and brainwashing is the name of the game now'a'days. Not laws.
I would NEVER ship or support this company in ANY way.
To prove a point managers would throw dell computers around the warehouse. They would scream that they would f***ing kill employees every single night. They would talk about f***ing females in front of the 10 females in the entire warehouse.
Seriously, it is the grossest company I have ever known of.
If any employee brought in a camera, or if anyone actually did a real audit of UPS in upstate NY, they would be shut down without a doubt.
I would testify in anyway I could be of assistance.

Oh yeah, and concerning customers. They refused to give out a number. I worked in the office sometimes with clerks, and seriously customers are an annoyance and joke to them.

Lairs, deceitful business practices
I bought a Mac laptop from Club Mac. They use UPS (unfortunately) to deliver it. I received a call last Thursday from an automated UPS voice system that stated that between 8 AM and 7 PM that same day the delivery would be made to my home. I rescheduled my day to accommodate UPS, in order to be home to sign for the package. Early in the evening I checked the tracking number on-line and it stated that it was going to be delivered the following day. I was upset and called UPS. They transferred me to their Roswell, GA delivery depot. I was put on hold while they checked for my package which I decided to pick up at this location. I was on hold for over 20 minutes and when no one came back on the line I drove over to their building. The people I initially dealt with there looked around but could not find my package. The snotty-nosed female supervisor came out and told me it was still at their Atlanta depot. She was smug and did not care that I had lost my day because of her company. Even though they delivered the following day, which luckily I was home for, I hope that others planning to ship using UPS will select another courier service. UPS is a disgusting, pompous company who, like Circuit City, will hopefully go out of business soon.

Idiot Drivers
So I ordered a few objects online early in the week and it was crucial that they be delivered before the weekend. I got home from work on Thursday and there wass a missed delivery notifcation on the front door. I thought, "Ok, Friday is fine. I will be able to get it all together Saturday." On the back of the notification there is a place to sign that removes UPS from all liability due to lost/damages that results from the driver leaving the package. I signed it and left it on the front door for the driver to see. Well I got home today, Friday, after a long day at work and there was a second missed delivery notification. The idiot either didn't look at the notification or looked at it and ignored it. So I called the number on the notifications. The lady on the other end of the line said, "He was probably protecting your packages because they were electronics." Ok that is fine and all but when the objects need to be recieved before a certain date so I can have everything put together on time it is a little annoying. I am going to the delivery hub later tonight to pick up the packages. If tey lost them or something like that I will rip someone's head off.

Dog killed by UPS truck in his own driveway
My 3yr. old ., 65lb. Boxer was killed this afternoon in his own driveway. This was witnessed by my husband. The driver was pulling up our driveway and said he saw my dog run to the side of the truck and he thought my dog had run on around to the back, so he sped up. My dog was still at the side of the truck and his head was crushed by the rear wheel tire as he was run over. My husband actually had to move the dog off the driveway so the UPS truck could leave. The driver said he was sorry and would make a "report"as he sped off on his merry way. This is a tragedy that was totally avoidable. The driver should have had a clear view of where the dog was before he proceeded up the driveway. We have invisible fence to contain our dog, never would we have believed he would be murdered in our own driveway! This was total negligence on UPS's part!

Missing package
I ordered a power cord for my laptop from DiscountElectronics.com. An attempted delivery was made to my home address, and I changed the delivery address to my work address.
The package was delivered, but UPS did not change the address and the person who signed for the package returned it, since it was thought that it had been delivered incorrectly. UPS did not change the address, or give any indication that there was a change to the delivery address.
Now the package has disappeared, they do not know where it is or are not willing to investigate any further.
I'm without the package that I paid for and they are expecting me to try and track it down.
Pam at UPS was not very helpful, she can be contacted on 708 496 7970.

Delivery
My husband is in process of obtaining a gov't job. Requires a hefty amount of paperwork to complete the process. He was scheduled to be in Denver for a few days at the time the paperwork came, so I shipped the docs to him via 2-day delivery using UPS. Pkg didn't arrive Friday 5/22 as contracted, husband leaves Denver Tues 5/26 am, so now need pkg to be shipped back to home! UPS will "try" to re-route the pkg on Tues, but will not upgrade the return service to overnight air, nor will they guarantee it will actually arrive back within two days! We only had ten days to turn all the docs around, so this could well cost my husband a job, and he has been out of work for a year! I will NEVER use UPS again, very poor delivery service and NO extra effort to correct their own screw up! I will share this story with as many folks as I can so everyone knows UPS does not value their customers.

Delivered To Wrong Address
I own a small computer store in which I build, sell and repair computers. I orderd some LED lights
and an LED light headset from a company in Nevada. The assured me that they would ship the
items the same day and we calculated that using UPS ground, the shipment would arrive by
Friday May 9th even with delays. According to UPS tracking, the shipment was due to be
delivered on Friday May 9th and it was sent in two boxes, both to be deliverd on the same day.
Some of the parts were for a custom built gaming computer that a customer ordered for his
son's birthday on Sunday May 11th. It is a $2100.00 computer. I received the box from UPS
with the LED light headset but not the box with the important parts for the computer.
According to the tracking number, my box was delivered somewhere else and signed for
by someone named Mary. We don't have a Mary working here. I called UPS and they told
me that I had to contact the business that I originally ordered the parts from to initiate an
investigation. I did and they said they would contact UPS which they did because UPS called
later that day. You would think that they would make the driver go out and try to find my
shipment but I guess not. Here it is Saturday, the customer was nice about the computer
but canceled the order because it won't be finished by Sunday so I lost a $21oo.oo sale. Does
UPS care? I think not. I want to thank the idiots of UPS for my lost sale and a computer that
will sit in my store for who knows how long because gaming computers are a niche market.
I'm going to look into taking UPS to small claims court to try and recoup some of the lost
sale. The customer told me that if I get a court date that he can work around he will
appear with me. Pretty nice, huh? Even though he has to scramble to get his son something
else for Sunday.

Awful company
We found out my father was in his last days of life and had to cancel a planned trip to NYC for a concert. We sold our concert tickets to a fellow fan on the band website for face value of $234. We went to the UPS Store and spent $40 for guaranteed overnight delivery so the buyer could get the tickets by noon the next day to go to the show that night. We watched the online tracking and it showed the package making it to the person's town and OUT FOR DELIVERY at 9AM that day...the tickets never showed up and the delivery wasn't made until 10AM on the next business day, rendering the tickets worthless. If you EVER have a critical delivery to be made, don't ever think that ANY amount of money or promises will guarantee a delivery by UPS. They ruined the plans of the buyer and cost us over $250. Looks like the UPS driver decided to stop in at a bar and watch March Madness for the day instead of making the delivery on time or even a couple hours late. The UPS website is designed to give you a complete runaround to make a claim also, asking for an account number when you clearly don't have one even after signing up on their website.

Not Refused
I recently had a auto bumper shipped from Arizona to South Florida. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday. An exception was noted on the account and upon an inquiry I was told it has been shipped back to Arizona. No attempt to deliver was attempted to the correct address on the invoice. No refusal of delivery occurred. The driver did not bring this item to the correct address listed within this document and the item I have been told is on its way back to Arizona…This is not acceptable.
I would like the driver questioned and his credibility scrutinized. The front desk person at the company is known and denies any attempt for delivery. This situation is not acceptable.

worst delivery service in the world
UPS is the worst carrier in America! The level of incompetence at every turn--from the deliverers to customer service--is so great that it is a miracle that UPS continues to function as a company! In the past year, only one of ten packages has arrived at my house on schedule! One overnight package was "lost" and arrived two weeks late! Its too bad that so many companies choose to ship via UPS. This company needs to fail! May its stock plummet!
