On the street where I was a pedestrian, truck # 0210171 at 3:30 pm on Dec. 22, 2009, blocked a sidewalk I was walking on, and continued delivering mail as I approached. I had no choice but step out into the street, as oncoming cars approached, to get around him, and back on the sidewalk. As this could have presented a serious safety hazard, I feel your delivery man should be counseled as to how mail should have been delivered. All the other boxes he serviced, he blocked the lane and delivered, but this particular set, the sidewalk I feel was not the appropriate place for him to park his truck and deliver the mail, because he didn't want to get out and do the job properly. As I stopped to write down his truck #, he said something to me verbally, which I had no intention to return and ask what he said. I work with the public, and as a professional, I feel this mail deliverer was very unprofessional.
