Sent birthday card to nephew which contained money. damaged card returned to me, envelope torn open on the front, card undamaged, MONEY MISSING from the envelope. sent e-mail to postmaster of tampa, got phone call from no. above from Beverly telling me not to send money, check or gift card, ( like they wouldn't spend the gift card), instread of cash. She told me there was NOTHING they could do. I got the damaged envelope and the card back but the money is in someone's hot hands or pocket in Tampa. Beverly said she didn't even know if the mail was damaged in that office, but the letter apologizing for the damage stated "in this office" If the card was intack, then why was the money missing from the card. Like all other public service organizations, the post office is nothing more than a big scam agency anymore. NO wonder they are having hard times and having to close offices and make schedule changes. They are inefficient and inept.
