Scam artists
On this date we moved our phone service from a single person account to a family plan. My account was closed and my phone moved to my daughter account. My account was closed. the account had a credit balance of $139.20. I asked to have the credit balance transferred to the new account. They refused. said they must hold the money for 40-60 days to review the account to see if I own them the money. They already know I don't own them anything. I called customer service and they filled out a form and said they'd call me back in 48 hours. No call back. two weeks later I recalled. said they call me back - no call back. On 2/13/2008 I called again - asked for a supervison.Today they called me back and again said I'd have to wait 40-60 days for them to review my account. In the mean time I have to pay the new account bill of $140.00. All I wanted was to move the credit balance to the new account or have them refund me the money so I could use it to pay the new bill. But nope, they are keeping my money. The credit balance is the result of an overpayment.

Fraudulent Charges NO Help from Verizon
Verizon Wireless is a bunch of incompetent jerks. I have held a verizon contract account for the past eight years, never had a problem. The last two months verizon wireless has been charging my card for someone else's minutes. Which I may add that as of this month October 2009, has added up to 900.00. I called the number listed on my bank statement and spoke to a verizon idiot, who told me that without a phone number (how would I know this) they cant help me. So then I contacted my bank and had the bank account frozen which everyone knows how convenient that is. I then called Verizon and spoke to a "manager" *(yea, right) who told me there is absolutely no way for them to track the transactions. Which is strange since thats what the "trace" numbers are for. The accounting deptartment can track where the money went but they refuse to help. I have filed a fraud case with both my local police and my bank. I just cant belive how flippant Verizon has been throughout this whole ordeal. As soon as my contract is up I will be finding another company to give my hard earned money too. In the meantime, I have promised Verizon that I will tell everyone about how they treat their "valued customers". I will shout it from mountain tops and if posting this stops just one person from becoming a Verizon customer then I have succeeded!

Data plan subscription
I am among the thousands of unhappy Verizon Wireless customers. Recieved a Blackberry Storm by mail. Activated by an in store representative, only to later find out that I was being billed for a Data Plan subscription that I was not informed of beforehand, and that I did not accept. Attempted to return the phone numerous times, and have dealt with Customer Care a half a dozen times. Its been 8 months.
Finally I discovered how to reach the Executive Relations team at Verizon Wireless. They are the only ones who can help resolve your problem, short of having an attorney contact them. BTW, I subscribe to Pre-Paid Legal for $35 a month, and their attorneys at no additional charge, will contact Verizon Wireless. Find me on twitter.com/verizoncustomer .
Share your experiences online and then email me at [email protected] . I will forward you important contact information to reach the real decision makers at Verizon Wireless, the Executive Relations team.

reception
Verizon wireless SUCKS!!
I have a $500 Blackberry Storm that is almost useless as the only thing I can use it for is the internet!!
I have 99% of all call incoming & outgoing DROPPED and it does not matter how many signal bars I have either!!
I just had 13 outgoing calls dropped and 4 incoming calls dropped and 3-4 signal bars on it!! I called verizon about this and they said that I lived in one of those areas and there was nothing they could do to fix it!!
I then said they should change their slogan from Can you hear me To You cant hear me now, as that should be considered false advertisement as they claim you even get signal driving through a tunnel under ground and still get reception (BS) I live on top of a bluff and cant get reception and within 6 miles from the tower!!
I had US Cellular be fore this and never had a problem with dropped calls!!!
Verizon Wireless Absolutely SUCKS!!

Charges showed up on my phone bill and me or bf knew nothing about them. Verizon can not refund these charges as they are from a 3rd party. He did tell me to text the number 77899 back with the word unsubscribe and that he would block the number as well. We will see if this works.

Rip off for sure
My cell phone service contract with Verizon was to expire in December 2006, but 2 months prior to Dec., my phone bill jumped from $79. (for 2 phones) to over $1, 000. When I complained to Verizon and threated to change services, they disconnected my phones and added early termination fees to the bill, reported it to the credit bureaus, and then sent it to collection agencies, who added their own fees to the amount.
The FCC claims to support the consumer but actually chooses to take the word of the rip-off artists, in this case, Verizon Wireless.

Terrible experience
One of our phone lines stopped working (no dialtone) on 11/2. Verizon told us a technician would come between 8 and 5 on 11/5. After wasting a day waiting, we were told that the computer cancelled the technician because the problem was fixed-of course it wasn't. After struggling to get a human on the phone at Verizon, we were able to persuade a supervisor to call dispatch and he promised that a technician would come on 11/6 between 8:30 and 11:00 am. At 10:30 the Verizon computer called us and told us the problem would be fixed by 11/8.
Presumably we should be able to wait at home for Verizon for days on end. When we called Verizon again to try and talk to another supervisor, none were available-they were all in meetings. Please help us get a technician to fix our phone line.
Since the problem first started, Verizon trucks have driven past our home several times.

Robbers
On my way back to Boston from Bermuda, my flight got canceled and I had to spend about 6 hours in the airport. Thought I would kill sometime by checking emails and as well as monitoring my flight statues. I used my aircard for 1.5hrs. did not watch a movie, did not play a game, did not get on Youtube, did not download any picture, all I did was checking my emails and flight statues. When I got my bill, it was almost $900. It’s almost like $15 per minute. I could not believe it. so I called. They told me it’s roaming charges... blah blah blah….I thought this is the most outrageous thing that ever happened to me my life. I did expect to get charged, may be something like $40 or $60 for doing simple things like checking emails and read news. Had I known this would be so expensive, I would just sit there and pick my nose instead!
I have been with Verizon for more than 10 years beginning when they were called something else. I have never seen anything like this. Few month ago when I walked into the store to replace my phone, the sales person told me this, the aircard, would meet my lifestyle. I didn’t even question her and gladly bought one right away. Thought she was helping me out and I appreciated it. And also thought I trust Verizon and they would never let me down. I am ok with paying $69 per month for the 5GB even though I only use it once a month. I do have internet services at home and work. I don’t mind paying this. However, this is just a robbery and illegal. If the charges are going to be so extremely expensive, why can they post a warning like other internet sites for something like: you are about incurring $15 per minute using the Bermuda service, would you wish to proceed?” I would shut this thing so fast like I am trying to stop an explosive object. When you buy a book from Amazon.com, they warn you before charge anything to your account b/c they are smart enough to know that if they don’t do that, they know you would dispute with the credit card for charges you don’t agree, and it would cost them more money to fix that than giving you the warning. Here with Verizon. Once the aircard is on, it’s too late.
I am ok with paying. I think I am more than generous. But it has to be reasonable. You can’t just rip people off like this. This is just outrageously.
I did not know checking my emails and reading some news off the internet would actually affect my life as my bill is about $900 and it would clean up my savings. This is wrong. Verizon is shrewbiz. Aircard is evil.
I am trying to get it off but having a hard time. They are not taking it off. I asked the manager when was the last time she had pay for something that cost her almost $1k. if you know the charges are so expensive ahead of time, would you still want to pay for $900 to check your emails and read news?
It’s simply unfair and it’s robbery!!! They have deprived my rights for making decisions. I will fight it. No matter what kind of trouble I am going through, I will fight it!

Scam charges
I am being charge $9.99 on my Verizon Wireless bill under the label "Premium TXT Messaging". When I called Verizon, they told me that the company "SMSgamerinfo.com" is the name of company which they are billing me for under that specific title. I never signed up or approved Verizon to charge me for SMSgamerinfo.com. I first noticed a few months ago a Spam like text message, which I immediately deleted. I am not a gamer... I strive to live a simple life and keep technology to a minimun.
I want to expose to the American public the hidden charges which are being allowed by Verizon Wireless. To me it is Fradulent. I have never signed up or approved for this service.
