Never again
The card was easy to buy as a gift card that was marketed as usuable anywhere Visa is accepted To activate this card was a big pain and took almost two hours of repeating and repeating and repeating the information requested. I tried both the computer and the phone number listed and neither worked. I finally got it registered by phone on the fourth try. I also was told that the first deduction of the monthly fee would be made May 17, just 10 days after activation. There was a fee of $3.00 just to buy the darn thing.
There are many fees listed for the use of this card that are not usual on a gift card. I will never, never purchase a Visa gift card through Walmart and I will also tell everybody within hearing distance.

attention to details of customer complaints
Cashier(Miriam) not speaking very good English and not noting products in shopping card that required hand-scanning. Then not understanding customer wished check made out for $20.00 over purchase amount and customer having to write out two checks to cover purchases(3 bags of softener salt) plus initial purchases. Then not requiring signature on 2nd check. Customer had to go to Customer service manager-she was to busy and had another employee open register tohave check signed. Then report of this was called into store management. Manager Joan then attempted to placate customer with %10.00 gas card as situation of customer living 50 miles away and did not have gas-station(Wal-mart) access and long distance call involved. After telling customer would send gift card instead and taking name and address stated card would be sent that day. Two days later customer still hadn't received card--talked with manager Todd again was told gift card was to be sent immediately and should be there on saturday. No Card. Called again and was "placated: with a $20.00 off. Cards-no apology note or explanation in envelope. Customer's name mispelled on both envelopes and both envelopes addressed (identically) after customers name was spelled not once but three times! Calls to 1-800-Wal-mart were answered and treated (seemed) with as much indifference. Gift cards didn't mean a "damn" thing but the "insult" of inattention to the details of the customers suggests that this store and its operation needs much training in customer service! Especially in attention to details such as a customers name.

Treated like criminal
When I went to pay for my groceries with a bank card from the joint checking account shared by me and my husband. My husband's name was on the card, so they would not accept my payment. I had to leave without my groceries that I spent an hour selecting. I have spent thousands of dollars at this Wal-Mart since it opened. They treated me like a criminal. That card was the only method of payment I had. I was completely unaware of the policy before I came in. I feel like they should have allowed it. I will not ever go back to that store.

Worst greeter EVER
I hate this Wal-Mart simply because of one particular greeter. She's a crusty, old woman who apparently hates any form of happiness. One day when my boyfriend and I were leaving, I had an item that was too big to bag, so I politely stopped before her and waited for her to acknowledge me. Figuring that the greeters get a lot of crap on day-to-day basis, I always try to be as friendly as possible to them. So I'm holding my item, smiling at her, and she turns to me and said, "What are you doing?" and I responded, "I thought you might want to check my receipt." She then said, "Don't just stand there grinning." Her name was Joy or Joyce, I believe, because I remember thinking, "How ironic.." Anyway, when I go back to Georgia, I'll make sure to steer clear of that store.

Service
First of all this store is the nastiest Walmart I've ever shopped in. It just so happens that it's the closest one to
my house. On three different visits to the store when checking out with my depit card carefully not to push the wrong button it has come up that I wanted cash back. There is something very wrong with this for I know I don't need cash back or would ever get cash back there. !! When I asked the cashier to please fix the problem he rolled his eyes and said no I can't you have to go to customer service. So I did only to stand in line for a few mins. When I got there they said there is nothing we can do, your just have to go to your bank and deposit the money back. I said are you kidding me, are you going to put gas in my car to go all the way to my bank. What do people do that don't have the extra in there checking and things start to bounce. This is CRAZY and I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happend to. The cashier and customer service employess said that the atm machines are very old and "mess up" all the time. Hello Walmart get some state of the art machines! Nobody other then the greeters are nice. Most of the employees HATE their jobs. The Grand Prairie store in TX is the lowest ever. I'ts not clean, the employees are rude, and nobody cares about YOU the customer. What are you going to do to FIX this problem Walmart? Come on this part of Grand Prairie can be nice but Walmart is bringing it down. Everyone I talk to hates to shop at that store... Lori

solicitors at the entrance and exits
I hate having unwanted solicitors trying to engage me in
converstation. It happens frequently- and they post themselves at
entrance and exits. I am getting tired of sneaking in through the
garden section- guess it's time to find a new place to shop.

My child treated unfairly
I will start this letter off saying I am not happy with my daughter has done, nore do I endorse it.
However my daughter and I went shopping. My daughter wanted to look at the toys. After we met up again my eleven year old daughter was arrested for shoplifting. I thought they were just arresting her because she was black. However she was actually shoplifting.
However here is where the unfair treatment is. If my daughter had been white they would never have suspected her. She would have gotton away with it.
The security had the nerve to tell me that they have been watching her for a few weeks because she was acting suspicious. I guess all blacks are suspicious in their eyes.
They lied to me and said that my daughter was trying to steal before. My daughter admitted this, however if my daughter had been white they would never have caught her in the first place because they would never suspect she would steal.
I have punished my daughter for this. I told her she was not allowed to go to her girl Guide meeting. However the fact that she is black is the major reason she was arrested. They would not have even looked at her if she was white.
She stole Barbie dolls and Polly Pockets for your information.

Auto Service
I am writing to inform you of the problem I have had with my vehicle following service at this center on 02/27/2009. I have a 2006 Toyota Tacoma V6 4.0 L automatic. Not long after this oil change, I began to experience a “lag” in my transmission. I took it to a local mechanic for the next oil change and asked him to also check my transmission. He informed me that my transmission was “sealed” and could only be worked on by the dealer. I was trying to save the money to take my truck to the dealer when, last week, the transmission totally stopped working.
When the dealer inspected my transmission, they discovered that it had been over-filled with too much fluid, and what was drained was a “mixture” of the required “WS ATF” and another unidentifiable fluid. They drained and refilled with the correct fluid, however my transmission still is not working. They told me they suspected that the transmission drain plug was opened in error and whoever did this overfilled it with the wrong fluid. The only choice is to replace the transmission.
I have invoices from the last 3 oil changes done at this facility. The first 2 (dated 7/19/2008 and 11/21/2008) state that the transmission fluid check was “declined” and then a note stating it is a sealed transmission. The most recent invoice states that the transmission fluid was “checked”. This is impossible as there is no dipstick, and the only way to get to the transmission is through the drain plug, losing the fluid in the process.
In light of the fact that nobody else has worked on my vehicle and the documentation that shows your facility checked my transmission fluid, I can reasonably ascertain that your last mechanic to change my oil, also inadvertently drained my transmission fluid. In addition, I feel that upon realizing the error, they attempted to “hide” the error by attempting to replace whatever fluid was lost with some other fluid.
I need and cannot afford a new transmission!
