greeter did not do job
June 4, 2011
my son arrested because greeter asked not to do her job by management.
My son stole a few DVDs and Pokemon and placed it in his backpack. The greeter who was supposed to check his backpack after the security alarm went off was told by manager and LP not to check his bag because they were going to arrest him for shoplifting. Had the greeter been allowed to do her job my so would have returned the stolen DVD"S and Pokemon cards and confessed. Instead he was set up and not given the chance to correct his mistake. Let me tell you my son is ten years old and if he had been stopped by the greeter he would have returned the stolen DVDs and cards and apologized. I yelled at him when he got home, but it seems like LP gets paid for every shoplifter they catch. That is why my son was not given the chance to correct his mistake. I allowed him to look around while I was shopping. The employee who saw him stealing did not say anything to me. If she did then I would have made him return stolen DVD and cards.
Not happy with what my son has done but also not happy with how it was handled. Basically he was not given a choice to correct his wrongdoing which is what this is about.

It is out of control and needs to stop
I am a devout Christian, family man who is disabled and use (will no longer shop at this store) to shop at Wal-Mart and spend about $300-400 monthly. Before I begin let me say, on the 7APR2K5, I had purchased two Biblical Research Books costing a total of about $60! On the day, 8APR2K5, I went to the store with my wife, son age 6, and daughter age 10 months. Our normal task; would be for me and my children to go to the Deli section and eat or drink something while my wife picked up the items we would purchase. After I would consume the food, I would take either the empty container or take the Price Bar Code up to the cashier for payment. (I was told to do this many times by store employees). I took the empty containers and Price Bar Codes with me to the cashier along with a full cart of items my wife had wanted. I gave everything to the cashier and had asked if she had scanned the empty containers and Price Bar Code items. The cashier confirmed twice she did. (At this point I usually check it myself, but my son was complaining that he needed to go to the restroom and I wanted to get back home because a bad thunderstorm was coming, so I trusted the cashier and went on to exit the store). As I exited the store, a lady by the name of Debbie Miller approached me and said I consumed food and did not pay for it. I told her you are crazy, I paid for it. At first she did not want to look at the receipt. When I insisted, she looked and said nothing is on there. I was shocked and looked at the receipt and discovered the items I paid for (over $150!). Her face turned bright red and she left the room, she returned with items from a trashcan. She asked me if these items were mine. She demanded I sign some kind of a form. I kept repeating lets go talk to the cashier and she can clear this up that I gave her all the Price Bar Codes and Empty Container items. Ask her! If there is a problem it is with the cashier, not me! Ms. Miller refused and left the room again. She returned with another man she said was her boss, he said call the police and secure the videotapes. I said, Sir, you are making a big mistake, I will fight this thing, and I have not done anything wrong. I am a devout Christian; and therefore would never do this! I demanded to see these videotapes so it will prove I gave everything to the cashier. They refused to let me see anything. I said let me call an attorney! They refused! A few seconds later the Columbia Police G. Wise, badge number # 10855, arrived and began writing an arrest booking. I began telling him the truth and my wife showed up at the door in the back where they had taken me. Officer Wise went into a rage and began yelling at my wife, who had with her my two children. All she was asking (in a normal voice) was what was happening, an employee had showed her where I was. This outrageous officer threatened to have my wife arrested and take my two children to foster home. Because of my illness, I broke down in tears, and kept repeating I did nothing wrong. The store demanded that I be taken to jail, and the enraged officer took me to jail. My rights were never said, I was never told what I was being arrested for, I never saw a warrant until I arrived at the jail! Strangely, the police took me to another jail in a other county. My family called all night and the next day and could not locate me. They were told there is no one in custody by my name. I even asked the prison when will I go to the bonds court, and I was refused my request, and they even told me I had a five page rap sheet of all kinds of charges. (I have never been put in jail before)! My family got in touch with the courts and demanded I at least be found and released on bond. I was told by the jail that I would be there for 30 days! By the grace of God and answered prayer, I was released the next day. I still cannot understand why the store manager and police did not want to talk to the cashier. The items were scanned and paid for, and she was the one who scanned them and she knows what the truth is. It seems to be all lies to take down a good Christian family man. I am now fighting this as best I can, and I will sound the trumpet as loud as I can to make the people know what corporations are doing to our freedom! It is out of control and needs to STOP! God Will Give Me Victory!

Refused to install a new tire
I went to the Tire center at Wal-mart in Bolivar MO to have 1 tire installed on the left rear of my 1998 toyota camry. It was to match the one on the right rear that my daughter had replaced 2 months earlier when she had a run flat out of town. They refused to put that size tire on the car (195/75/14) because the placard on the door says 195/70/14. Funny this is...I have had 7 195/75/14 tires put on that car in the last 7 years, by wal-mart. I just needed to match up the right rear that my daughter had put on 2 months earlier. I am sure that they couldnt put on the recommended tire because it wouldnt match the other 3. I suppose that they wanted me to purchase 4 tires when 1 needed replaced. I am done with wal-mart. Mostly because of the problems that I have had with the TLE on 5 or 6 occasions in the past 12 years.

Very rude employees
There is only one Wal-mart in the town I live. I'm a full time college student and decided that I wanted to get a part time job and applied at my local Wal-mart. I arrived 45 minutes early looking very professional. I went through the interview with a nice women and answered all questions. I gave her my resume and a copy of my school schedule at the end and she told me she had to confirm everything with her manager. As I waited patiently, the manager came out and was very rude and unprofessional. She told me since I don't have open availabilty that they won't hire me. It wasn't what she said but the way she carried herself that was very rude. She didn't look at me or have any respect what so ever. So after everything was said and done, I thanked her for the time and walked away. Before I left, I bought some things I needed and even the cashier was extremely rude. I am a frequent customer but I can no longer take all of these rude employees. Most of them need to learn about respect.

Vision Center Rudeness
I entered Wal-Mart Vision center today to make an appointment. They are on my list of providers. The rude witch at the counter said I had to call my provider and get my member ID number and the administrator of the policy. I knew the administrator because I was in there 2 weeks prior buying glasses for my child. They said they couldn't access the optical information. I told her who the administatrator was and that my ID number was on my card. She refused to look at the card and actually told me to go call them. She said they do not call insurance companies to verify anything. Which was a shock because 2 weeks ago - they did. I returned home, called my carrier and asked for the info. They gave me the same number on the card and confirmed the admin. They even called the Wal-Mart center to ask why they refused to look up my info - the witchy lady hung up on them while I was on the line and heard it all!! I don't really know where else to report this, Wal-Mart doesn't really have a "complaint department". At the very least I will never spend another dime in that vision center. They can kiss my butt. And if you ever read this you rude *** counter wench, you are the poorest example of what customer service should be. The doctor's name in charge is Deborah Fields, OD. If she ever googles herself I hope you find this. Short brown haired lady with glasses and a terrible attitude.

Awful treatment from Wal-Mart employee
When I tried to cancel my Wal-Mart Internet service I was shocked at the way I was treated.
The guy refused to cancel, told me to call back next month, and tried to hang up on me. Our conversation became heated and he did hang up telling me he would not cancel.
I called back and was connected to another associate in New Deli India. She pulled my account and found my account had been cancelled. This just upset me more. I called back again and was connected to a Washington office.
They gave me info I needed to file a complaint.
I have done so. I haven't heard from them. I just want to know if anyone else has had this problem.

Stay away from Wal-Mart
I bought two cameras around 11.40 am to give to my cousin and sister in the Philippines since my friend is going back to Manila, Philippines. Since I had a lunch meeting by 12:00 pm, I did not have the cameras checked by the sales crew on duty and, to my knowledge, I could have it replaced if ever there is any damage or anything.
Around 7 pm when I got home, I had the chance to inspect the cameras. I opened the Fuji Film F10 first, and apparently it didn't have any damage on the outside body of the camera so I then inserted the battery and it was working perfectly.
Then I checked the other camera, the Canon SD200. When I checked out the camera, I noticed a lot of scratches on the corners. So I decided to return the item or ask for a replacement.
When we got to Wal-Mart, we went to the photo section and when the sales person assigned checked it out. It appears that the serial number on the box -- and the one printed in the receipt -- and the one on the camera don't match. Worse, when she turned it on, it appeared to be defective.
The sales lady then gave us the number of Canon customer service. But we insisted in our complaint since, in the first place Wal-Mart shouldn't be selling defective items. And how did it happen that the serial numbers don't match? And its just that they're just going to give me Canon's customer service phone number?
My friend advised me to buy another one just to take it to my friend who is going back home and give the cameras to my sister and cousin. Even though I feel frustrated, I bought another camera and this time it is an sd300 since there are no more sd200 in stock aside from the display item.
Yes, I purchased 3 cameras in a day. So now, what am I going to do with the defective sd200 that I just bought the same day? It is just like that -- I gave Wal-Mart $250. The manager only said 'sorry' to us.
This is really frustrating and disappointing as well. I should have given that money to the victims of the last two hurricanes. I just hope someone will take action on this.
