poor service
I have recently moved to Johnson city, tn. from neighboring Elizabethton. I transfered my rx's from the eliz. walmart to the market st. location, I live about 2 miles from the store.I've been in johnson city 2 months and I go to walmart at least 3 times a week. I will continue to get my rx's at the Market St. location( I'm still debating about this) but I will not be doing any other shopping at the market st. store. This is the most rude, unfriendly walmart store i've ever shopped in..one cashier, who never wears Id, or it's covered up by the jacket she is always wearing, she tells her customers her life story and everything that is going wrong in her life. while I'm in line I can hear her tell the people in front of me this, as well as the next person, any then me. I try to change the subject and get her to pay attention on scanning my stuff. the other cashiers don't say hi, good day, no welcome... they just start scanning. only one cashier put my bags in my buggy, the others started ring up the next person befor i could even get all my bags loaded. no thank you, come back, thank you for shopping, nothing... the floor people totally ignore you. there has only been ONE cashier that welcomed me, scanned my items, put my bags in my buggy and wished me a nice day and thanked me for shopping. she was young, about 20 or 21 and had natural red hair.
In the store in elizabehton, the greeters are friendly, the majority of the cashiers are friendly & helpful. Most of the dept. heads know be by my first name ( because I 've shopped there for so long and often ).I will be driving back to Eliz. store ( 10+ miles) or to the Food City store, that is also close to where I now live. As much as I would like to continue to shop locally at walmart, , , , when I do, i always leave upset and angry at the way I was ingnored. my e-mail: [email protected]

Does not stock the needed supplies for this community
I am appalled at the Wal Mart Supercenter in Chickasha Oklahoma. The so called supercenter does not stock the needed supplies for this community. The sporting goods is a joke and the outdoor supplies, I just found out, will no longer carry supplies for outdoor water ponds. I was just there to buy groceries 2 days ago and heard a manager getting onto an employee in the produce section, telling him that he needs to focus and get the produce stocked. The idiot manager didnt know that the store was out of some of the produce due to a winter storm warning and heavy consumer buying that day, and if he needed to counsel an employee, he should do it in private. I frequently have to drive 45 miles to Okla. City to get supplies. Whoever the manager of this facility, and their regional is, they should be fired and competent people who can do a market analysis for the needs of the community should be hired.

Money Card
THIS IS A SCAM.
We purchased the card for our daughter to use when shopping or eating out. WALMART employees did not represent the card in a legitimate manner and it does not work as represented. This is disappointing and MISLEADING. During the setup of the card I was put on hold several times when told how the card actually works. When I asked about returning the product due to being MISLEAD they stated that the card could not be returned even though it was never used. Finally after asking for an address to complain I was put on hold the third time I was hung up on. I cannot return the card and cannot confirm that it was ever set up.
Please read the fine print before purchasing...

Old, broken TV in a new box
My future sister-in-law bought a new Phillips flat screen TV for 700.00 from Wal-Mart. When she got it home, she discovered that it was not the new TV she had paid for, but a TV that another customer had used and returned. The TV was dusty, the power cord was missing, and the stand was cracked. Of course, she returned the TV to the store. Once there, the store clerk compared the serial number of the TV with the serial number printed on the box, and found that they did not match. He ran the serial number on the TV through their computer and it came back listed as a customer-returned TV. One would think that it would be a simple matter for the store to replace the TV, since they had proof that no fraud had occurred on her part. One would be wrong. She was told that nothing could or would be done to correct this situation. They ventured that an employee in the electronics department had "accidentally" sealed the old, dusty, broken TV in a brand-new box and had put it back on the shelf. "It's not our fault, and it's not your fault, but there is nothing we can do for you." When informed that the TV is useless without a power cord, it was suggested that she contact the manufacturer, who might be able to sell her a replacement. My, but Wal-Mart has excellent customer service. "Sorry, can't help you, " is the response she got from every one with whom she spoke, all the way up the Wal-Mart food-chain. She is now awaiting a return call from Wal-Mart's corporate office. One sincerely hopes that she isn't holding her breath while she waits.

Don't buy air beds at Walmart
This happened sometime ago. We were having company come to stay for a week and I decided since I had tried one when stayed with family that an elevated type air bed would be good thing to get, up until then I had used an air mattress on and off but getting up off the floor at 50 is getting to be a bit of a challenge. So I went to Walmart, found basically what I was looking for at a reasonable price and bought it. I got it home and went ahead and set it up that night to make sure there wouldn't be a problem. Sure enough, the thing didn't stay inflated, as much air as there was in there I could actually feel the floor before half the night was over. So, I boxed it up as best I could (they wouldn't be able to resell the thing anyway) and took it straight back to the store. Lo and behold, the first thing the lady behind the return desk tells me is that they 'don't do refunds on air beds'. I managed to get my money refunded in the end (mostly because I refused to take no for an answer and the fact that I used a credit card for the purchase doubtless helped, too) but apparently the company has an unwritten exchange only policy for air beds, so if you need one buy elsewhere. Also, I attempted to write an email directly to the company shortly after this event and it seemed to refuse to go through.

Terrible place
I live in riverview flordia and shop at the walmart in sun city flordia. I am a walmart stock holder with over 100000.00 in walmart stock. When i go shopping at the walmart in sun city i have my prscriptions filled there when i got there today my prscription was said to be ready, well it was only a partial refill that they would have it after 3 on monday. It would have been nice if they gave me a call and told me it wasn't ready but they never did what a bunch of total incompetents!!! also It really pisses me off that i have to wait 20 minutes to get checked out because wal mart wants to save money by having a few cashiers for hundreds of people. dont you people know how inconvenient that is?? there are people out of work and your intentionally short staffing to save money so you can give your ceo a big bonus at the end of the year. walmart is not hurting for money.

cashier
I had filled out a check with Walmart on the "pay to" line, the date 2-6-10 on the date line, and my signature on the signature line, shortly before getting to the cashier. When I got to the cashier, she stood up and reached over the counter where I had my checkbook perched and tore off the top copy of my duplicate check not allowing me to fill in the amount of my purchase, saying that it was not necessary. She gave me a receipt for the purchase, but I did not get the copy that she tore out back, which has always been the procedure when I have paid by check previously. I also resent being treated in such a cavalier manner.
