Walmart Reviews

Buyer beware
For Christmas, I wanted to give my kids (all in their late teens and early twenties) some extra spending money. I thought it would be nice if it wasn't just cash so that they could wait and use it when they wanted to buy something they wanted.

I heard about the WalMart 'Smart Money' prepaid VISA card. VISA should be horrified. They charged me a fee of about $8 per card to load the card. Then when my kids went to use the card they found out about all of the other fees.

Fee to check balance, fee to reload the card (its not enough that they get to use your money - they want a ridiculous fee of another $8+ to reload it).

If you don't use it all in one month, they charge another fee about $4.

This is an excuse to steal and steal from those who can least afford it.

Another example of a once good company turned not just bad but in my opinion, what they are doing with this card is robbery and evil.

By the way, you don't find out about the fees until you have purchased the card - they aren't disclosed up front.

BUYER BEWARE!!!

Awful service
I went to this particular Walmart to get two tires balanced and put on my truck. Seems like a pretty simple job to me, but not for these folks. I should have known better, the gentleman in front of me needed a tail light replaced. They removed a clear bulb and replaced it with a yellow one!

Anyway, I told the young man behind the counter what I needed done and told him that occasionally my clutch would stick to the floor which could be popped back up with his foot. He said that was fine, no problem. It was a two hour wait, which I agreed to and left for a while.

I returned in two hours to see my truck sitting outside of the garage door and the tires had not been put on. I went inside to see maybe if I was next in line and the boy told me I had no brakes and needed to get my truck towed. I told him my brakes were fine and went to see for myself. I got into my truck and pushed the brakes and brake fluid came pouring out.

I was very upset at this point and the automotive manager came out and told me I should get it towed. I asked him what had happened and he said there were no brakes in my truck when the went to pull it in. I told him my brakes were just fine I had just driven it there. He proceeded to tell me that I couldn't have driven it there because the brakes were busted before they had got into the truck.

I was fuming at this point because I know my brakes were fine and now I had a busted brake line. Of course, I had to get it towed and when the tow truck driver got there I tried to pull my truck onto it and SURPRISE!! My clutch was busted as well. I refuse to ever go back to this Walmart and have considered taking this to small claims court.

I drive my truck everyday back and forth to work with no problem. I just find it coincidental that my brake line and clutch was busted at the same time in Walmart's care. I am lost at this point and do not believe I am responsible for something they had done.

electric carts for the physically challenged
this week i have been to 2 walmart stores - each store i waited an hour for a electric cart - finally i went to albertsons which is closer but i prefer walmart.

i spend between 150.00 and 200.00 every 10 days...that is alot of money to me - if i spend that much how many others are spending lots of money but cannot wthout the carts we depend on each visit. . i was told at each store that they have many carts in the back that need repair but nothing was being done about it.

walmart is losing money and i am losing the joy of shopping at "the wall" i call it. i have made many friends with the employees who are so very helpful to me. i really do not want to go to albertson or smiths - i want to continue going to the wall.

thank u and please get this to the right department - it's important to me...and others.

How would you feel if you where there . It was the worst experience I have ever gone through . And the managers seem to not understand CUSTOMER SERVICE OR CUSTOMER RESPECT . i would never think of treating anyone like this EVER

unfair treatment,Harassment
Everytime my grandkids go to walmart to shop they are followed around like criminals, they are both girls age 14 and 15.This is really making me mad, as i am with them.I now shop at a different store in Warrenton where we are treated with respect and not like criminals. My lawyer will be contacting Wal-mart on my and my grandchildrens behalf. They have also been ask to open there purses in which nothing was found, this is harassment, and we are no longer going to take the abuse.

Terrible experience
Bought 5 boxes of ammo late Saturday night Nov.8, 2008. 3 Remington .308 150 grain and 2 Winchester .308 180 grain to fire in 2 weapons I purchased recently. Went out to firing range at 10AM opening and shot the Winchester ammo with both weapons. Tried the Remington in both of my weapons and my buddies M1A and the bullet failed to fire. Attempted Sunday afternoon to swap out ammo with receipt and was told the sale was final even if the product did not work. Assistant manager was nice and appeared to agree with me but said his hands were tied and the store manager was the only person who could approve the swap and probably would not do it!

Never buy ammo from Walmart... lesson learned!

Door personel
The outgoing door person wanted to see my receipt because the facial tissue i had wasn't in a bag.
This basically is acusing me of shoplifting. this all my sound trivial but to me it isn't. I could understand it if it was something large like a TV but to stop me and force me to produce a receipt insults me intelligence
Walmart you have gone STUPID

Bad service
I have had it with Walmart and their crappy electronics..first I bought a Walmart brand cd player..only paid $20 that should have been my first red flag..my Nephew who was barely 2 tore up the box, but at the time I was ok with that I had after all a cd player..it never played from the start..armed with my receipt I returned to Walmart hoping to get an even exchange I was even willing to pay more for a different brand..the CSM said no, then the store Manager said no..I figured it was because I no longer had the original box never mind I had the paperwork that came with it..so I figured that was my fault so I tossed the defective cd player in the garbage and proceeded to buy a Memorex portable cd player with radio for $30..everything was fine for awhile anyway, now four months later it plays only every once in awhile..at times I will put in a cd and it plays, no problem! Other times I'll put in a cd and it says "error disc" meaning the player isn't recognizing the cd it just played the day before..so I turn it off and listen to the radio for about an hour then lo and behold it starts working again..I contacted Walmart on the phone and was told basically "too bad so sad..it's past the return time limit". I now own a $30 radio! My Cousin was recently in Walmart exchanging a pir of jeans when a Lady in front of her attempted to return a mixer no box just the mixer, the attachments and the paperwork that came with it, was she refused??..Hell no! Turns out she was a Friend of the CSM.. My next cd player will come from Big Lots, I once bought one from there and it lasted for 5 years.

Unfair play
What is up with the US?? Did you know when a Foreigner comes to the US to work he or she does not get any taxes taken out of their paycheck until they become US citizens..that is why most choose to own a work visa as opposed to becoming US citizens..I work in a job where I would make about $6000 a month..after taxes and the usual deductions I bring home about $2000 a month give or take $500 here and there..depending on how much overtime I get (which is few and far between coz they can pay less to Foreigners coz they wont owe any taxes) or how much time I lose being sick and unable to work..after everything is taken out ie: taxes, rent, mortgage, elect, phone, gas, cc bills, I barely have $100 left for groceries for two weeks..and if I don't have enough for groceries my cc bills don't get paid.. yet my co-workers who are mainly Spanish, Haitian, Jamaican, British plus a host of other nationalities..they have 0 taken out on taxes..my Bosses are all Chinese..they get to take home their full pay yet I work to make them money and I'm lucky to clear about $1100 every two weeks..

What really irks me is the way the Govt. is handing money hand over fist to the big Corporations while the little Guy who is down and out because of those same Corporations are struggling to make ends meet..yet we are expected to foot the bill to save those companies..will we get our money back? Hell no, the Govt and the business owners will reap all the benefits...hey Obama, wanna save the economy? Tax the hell out of the rich, make the corporate companies save themselves and force the gas and oil companies to lower their prices or better yet order off shore drilling inside the US so we can start takig care of ourselves..

It's bad enough all of our money goes overseas for different reasons, but now foreigners are coming here and are reaping HUGE benefits coz they weren't born here..HEY USA it's time to take care of your own..if we are to be taxed out the ass then tax EVERYONE the same!
