Since I began using Zone Alarm Security Suite, I have had frequent occasions when the Zone Alarm vsmon.exe process completely takes over the CPU and all other work becomes impossible for long stretches of time. I have followed all the advice on the Zone Alarm site for optimizing settings and so on, but to no avail. This is happening even when Zone Alarm is *not* scanning for viruses or the like. It is impossible to contact Zone Alarm directly without paying an exorbitant nearly 50-dollar fee. When I tried to join their forum in order to share information with other Zone Alarm users, I received a message that they could not accept my registration to use the forum, even though I am a paying customer who is already registered and can log in to their site. I will *not* be renewing my subscription to Zone Alarm when it comes up, nor can I recommend it to anyone else. I'm looking for a better solution.
