I paid for a criminal background check. $18.95. Within minutes this company sent me 4 emails, confirming payment receipt, confirmation number, order number. I emailed them immediately letting them know I had a criminal case pending, that there was no way it could have come back clean. Unless it was a scam. I told them I wanted what i paid for.
