I have KitchenAid refrigerator KSRG25FKST17 side by side and it is not quite 5 yrs old. The compressor has started making LOUD clunking/clanging noises for 5-10 seconds whenever the compressor shuts off. I can produce the noise by rocking the compressor on its rubber mounts with my hand. It also sometimes makes wheezing, squeaking noises. I talked to KitchenAid and they said the compressor is not considered bad as long as the unit is cooling on both sides, which it still is. Warranty on compressor is for 10 years.
