I took my 2009 Ford Ranger to CarMax to get an appraisal. I was shocked and more than a little disappointed when I was only offered about half of the Kelly blue book trade in value, I had bought the truck new and aside from the 22, 000 miles, it is in perfect condition with all routine maintenance records. The only reason for selling is a need for a larger truck. The Ford dealer had at least offered the low end of book value in trade on a new truck.
