My girlfriend, also a doctor ( I will refer to her as Dr. V.) bought 2 pairs of Basic Eyewear from Manhattan eye works. I loved the style but more importantly, they were a very lightweight Titanium so comfortable you don't feel them. I too bought a pair. The frame as is, without the perscription cost $350.00. Dr.V. opted to have her RX included right away. She spent an additional $700. per pair. Each pair cost her$1050.00. Her total investment was $2, 100.00, for 2 pr. of glasses.
