Under no circumstances buy the Maytag Extended Warranty. We live in NJ and the only repair service they have is A&E Factory Repair. They only had one contractor to work on our washer. Maytag customer service has no incentive to fix your appliance. I called for an appointment and they told me it would be nine days before someone could look at our washer and if that date wasn't good, it would be two weeks.
