In August 2010 I paid jk harris to review and FILE my tax returns for 08' and 09. I paid $1650.00. They contacted me in December of 2010 and stated that the IRS was going to Levy my accounts because I did not report a death benefit check. I contacted the IRS and learned that NOT ONLY had jk harris done NOTHING, but that the death benefit check was NEVER at issue since my husband was a Federal Employee, and taxes are not owed on those death benefits.
