In the middle of my mortgage application, equifax stopped using the FICO scoring system for my credit score with them and switched to their own score system that dropped my credit score 50 points. When I contacted them (after 30 min of elevator music while on hold), they said that they had been using their own scoring system for over a year. I asked why then all my reports only had FICO scores for the past year there response was that they were not selling the reports with it to consumers.
