Just replaced a 4 year old Frigidaire side-by-side. The compressor locked up and the repairman indicated that particular compressor (made in Brazil) has been failing after 4-5 years. So, I complained on Frigidaire's web site and after two weeks no response. I tried various forms of the CEO's name but he must have a well hidden address due to the number of problems I've seen with their products. Replacing a $700 item after 4 years is one thing, but aren't they also filling up landfills with this junk? Major appliances should last 8-10+ years under normal use. read full review »
