I sold my house and paid the mortgage off to HomEq in May, 2010. HomEq no longer exists. The records were transferred to Ocwen. I received my credit reports thinking they would show the loan as closed. No, the reports show the mortgage loan as still outstanding with Ocwen. When I called Ocwen to update my credit reports they have no information on my closed account. In the meantime, my credit reports show the $65, 000 lien on my reports.
