I bought a brand new hot water heater from Lowe's, it is a Whirlpool brand name. Once it was installed, we could still smell gas coming from the valve box. I called Whirlpool and they said they would send us a replacement valve and scheduled a service call for A & E Appliance to come out and install it at no cost to us. I called A & E, made the arrangements, took the day off work to be here. A & E said that they would be out Saturday afternoon between 1-5 pm and to let them know that the part arrived.
