My husband and I built our dream home in August 2007. We had the home financed with CitiMortgage. First our loan officer was very shady she told us when we prequalified that our pmt would be $1100 per month. The payment amount was perfect for our family however, after the house had been built on the land we already owned we went to closing only to find out that the rate was not locked in and we were now going to have a $1580 house payment.
