Never buy a timeshare from Raintree Vacation Club. We were scammed by them during the sales presentation through lies, half-truths, innuendo, and the withholding of key information. We were told by the sales rep (scam artist) that maintennace fees could not, by law, increase more than 2-3% per year. Last year, Raintree jacked theirannual fee by 25%! They also imposed a Special Assessment of $880. on everyone, probably because the recession has led to fewer new sales.
