I recently received letter correspondence and email advertisement since the month of January 2011, asking me to join AMEX . the attraction to me was NO ANNUAL FEE the first year, I signed up for the card. Upon receiving the card and letter I called the number to activate the card. In the conversation I asked the rep does this card have an annual fee waived for the first year and her answer was yes, I believe her name was Stacey.
