I switched to Mediacom from Embarq 2 years ago because they were cheaper and we were trying to pare down expenses. Boy, was that a mistake. Not that Embarq was that great, but Mediacom is the absolute WORST. For the entire time that we've had their service, our landline cuts out intermittently, sometime for days at a time. Most of the time, we don't even know that the service is out unless we try to make a call.
