On January 19, 2011, my 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab 4x4, suddenly threw a check engine light while I was driving about 60 mph on the freeway and then a message popped up "Reduction in engine power." Within seconds my speed dropped to 10 miles and hour and even with the pedal floored I could not get any speed or power to move out of the way of oncoming traffic.
