I've been a customer of 1and1.com since 2004. Have 3 domains with them. Previously they were also my hosting company but now just my domain providers. I had a past due balance of $59 from 2009 which I was unaware of and when my domain came due they did not send me anything in writing and canceled the account to ensure the past due balance got paid. Needless to say, if I was made aware in writing I would have paid the amount in questioned. Which I don't even know how they have a past due balance of $59 but whatever.
