In September 2009 I spent £1200 in Currys on a gas cooker, a laptop and accessories. The grill on the cooker would not stay lit for more than a few moments and had to be repaired twice in the first year under warranty. The cooker is now 18 months old and exactly the same fault has developed again but Curry's refuse to repair it because I did not buy an extended warranty. Bought a gas cooker from CURRYS in September 2009 and the grill had to be repaired twice in the first year for the same fault. Cooker is now 18 months old and exactly the same fault has occurred again but CURRY'S say as the warranty has expired they will not repair it. I was told to get an engineer to inspect the cooker at my own expense and send the report to CURRY'S to see if they would consider a repair, I am disabled, on a low income and can not afford to do this.
