I applied for my passport on April 3rd. I was told it would take 1-2 weeks 3 at most to receive and since they had "improved their service" so much it would probably be here sooner. I was told by the post office worker that if I did not get my passport in 2 weeks time then I should go on to their site to check on the status. I did this and my information was STILL not in the system.
