after 5th year---start relay burned out--just out of warranty! 4 months later--recall came out--had repairman come out and he put new relay on---compressor was seized!!! Had to go buy another refrigerator---never again a maytag!!! I am writing letters and posting notes for customers not to buy any maytag products. They will not goodwill any repairs after warranty has expired! what a bummer! So much for customer satisfaction. OH, by the way---my GE refigerator lasted 26 years and only got rid of it to buy the maytag for a color change and size upgrade---not because it stopped working!!!
